The City of Santa Barbara was having a lottery and giving away 20' slips. I discussed this with Masami and we entered our name in the lottery. We ended up winning the lottery and paid $4500 for the slip assignment fees and had 90 days to come up with a boat that would fit in the slip. We walked down to check out our new slip and on our way back I checked the bulletin board and there was a posting saying "Wanted 20' Slip". So I called the guy, Cosmo, and he and his father begged up to sell them the slip. Masami and I discussed how hard it is to get a Santa Barbara slip so we decided not to sell them the slip. We partnered up with them and Cosmo gave me $1500 to go find a cheap boat. I found a pretty nice 20' Sailboat on a trailer with a running engine. The boats name was Cosmo and he took $500. When Cosmo got his fishing boat together he asked me if I could get rid of this sailboat, so I sold it to a Canadian on Sailboatlistings.com for $1500.
